The story
In 1976, Don Abel, a corrupt but conflicted Mexican intelligence agent known as El Mero Gallo, is recruited by the CIA to eliminate a defecting Communist leader hiding in California. What begins as a routine mission quickly spirals into chaos, forcing Don Abel to face his own morality, ambition, and the true weight of his choices. A darkly satirical espionage thriller, Don Abel collides faith, loyalty, and betrayal in a story where no one walks away clean.
