Arundhati Devi was one of the finest Bengali actors, film directors and writers. Arundhati made her cinematic debut in ‘Mahaprasthaner Pathey’ (1952) which was later remade in Hindi titled ‘Yatrik’. In 1957 she met famed film director Tapan Sinha at the Berlinale and they eventually got married.
