Born in Sydney, New South Wales, Belle began her screen career in the early 1990s and quickly became a familiar face on Australian TV. Belle's breakthrough came with her portrayal of Karen Dean on the long-running soap opera Home and Away, a role she played from 1990 to 1993. Her character was central to several memorable storylines, including a dramatic criminal arc that captured audiences.
