Lawrence Lee Wallace is a Chicago born filmmaker and author with more than fifteen years behind the camera as a director, writer, producer, and editor. Through his company, Deep Production Studios, he has built a body of work in horror and character-driven drama — among them the feature Tobias: Dark Hallway, the dark comedy Pieces of David, a Black Harvest Film Festival selection and Black Excellence Award nominee, and the animated horror feature To Your Last Death, on which he served as co-executive producer. The Smell of Blood is his first novel, and the opening book of the series. It is a werewolf story that is less interested in the monster than in the family holding the door shut.
